Founded in 1997, the MIC hospital was a courageous pioneer in minimally invasive surgery, offering the most advanced technology-based operating theatre in the world by 2000.

With 25 years of practice and thousands of successful surgeries, all MIC surgeons and the entire team perform at the highest level. Operations are performed faster and safer than in any other facility.

Today’s gold standard of surgery found its European surgical origin in MIS.

MIC WOMAN

Leading through experience – this is particularly true for Nermin Cabrera Fugardo MBA.

Since January 2021, Mrs. Cabrera Fugardo has been an authorised signatory and team leader for administration at the MIC hospital. She began her professional career as a nurse and later completed a degree in economics. At the German Heart Institute Berlin, the business graduate helped define the company’s goals in administration and as deputy director of nursing for more than 25 years.

Most recently, she worked as authorised signatory and commercial director of the DRK Kliniken Berlin Mitte. She will now bring this experience to the MIC and support the hospital economically, in terms of personnel, logistics and interpersonal skills.

Ms. Frenzel is leaving the hospital after 23 years to enjoy her retirement. She was instrumental in establishing the structures of the hospital and, as team leader for administration and authorized signatory, as the contact person for all employees, was one of the most important personnel pillars of the hospital.

In July 2019, the shares of the MIC hospital are sold to the Johannesstift Diakonie. The hospital is now part of the Johannesstift Diakonie, the largest denominational health care and social enterprise in the Berlin region and north-eastern Germany. We are pleased about the merger and the very good cooperation so far. For our patients, this means even more interdisciplinary possibilities and cooperation.
